KGIS links into other SCAR databases

Commercial passenger jet flights over the Antarctic Peninsula region are offered by tourism enterprises. Although there are no scheduled landings in Antarctica the aircrafts nearly touch down at several occasions to offer spectucar views to their passengers. It remains doubtful whether overpasses at such extremely low altiudes do not affect wildlife in the areas concerned.

SCAR RiSCC
The RiSCC databases form part of the SCAR Scientific Programme on
"Evolution and Biodiversity in the Antarctic: the Response of Life to Change" (EBA)
